Dr. Deborah Antosca began her career in 1976 in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts teaching Spanish, German, French, and Latin in grades seven through 12.  Prior to moving to Savannah, Dr. Antosca was an assistant professor at Bridgewater State College (MA) in the College of Education, Department of Secondary Education and Allied Studies where she taught graduate and undergraduate courses in secondary education.

Upon  moving to Savannah in 1999, Dr. Antosca taught at Beach High School and Oglethorpe Charter Middle School where she taught World Languages and also served as assistant principal. Deb joined the faculty at BC in 2002 as a teacher of Spanidh and Speech.  In 2007, Dr. Antosca was appointed Principal of Benedictine.  She has served on several SACS accreditation teams and on numerous committees for school improvement, curriculum, and interdisciplinary study throughout her career.

After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in Secondary Education and Spanish and a minor in German from the University of Rhode Island, Dr. Antosca received a Masters degree in School Administration from Salem (MA) State College. She earned her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Educational Leadership from Bridgewater State College (MA).  Dr. Antosca earned a Doctorate of Education with a concentration in Teacher Education and Curriculum Studies from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.  Her doctoral dissertation was a study of the many facets of classroom climate as perceived by students and teachers in the secondary level classroom.
