May 3: Update from our Principal, Jacob Horne

This Week at BC

Dear BC Family,

We hope this email finds you and your family well.  It is hard to believe we are entering the final month of the 2020-21 school year.  It feels like just yesterday was registration day.  This coming week is teacher appreciation week.  Please encourage your son to write an email (or a letter) to those teachers who have made his BC experience unforgettable.  This week we’d like to have a little fun with the cadets, so below are the uniforms of the day.

  • Monday: Favorite Hat Day
  • Tuesday: BC Spirit Day
  • Wednesday: Favorite College/Pro Sports Team Day
  • Thursday: Hawaiian Shirt Day (In honor of Mr. Hicks)

Please see all the dates below for a reminder of our upcoming events.  Have a great week, and stay safe.  God bless.

5/7: Last day of classes for seniors

5/8: Ring Day
  • Please arrive 10 minutes early so that we can ensure an efficient use of everyone’s time
  • The ceremony will take place just outside of the front office. Upon arrival, please make your way across the plaza to B-wing
  • Cadets should be shaven, in winter uniform, and hair should be well groomed for this tradition (no, we are not asking for our young men to get a haircut at this time)
  • Mr. Noell Barnidge will be there to capture the moment with the cadet and his presenter

5/11: Senior Checkout (9:00AM-3:30PM)
  • Student Account Clearing
  • Athletic uniform/equipment return
  • JROTC Uniform Turn-in
    • Return it either dry cleaned or turn in $20 and we will dry clean it this summer
  • Parking Tag Return
    • $20 lost tag fee
  • National Honor Society
  • Student Exit Survey

5/12-14: Locker clearing (12:00-5:00PM)
  • Any belongings left in the locker may be discarded following this process. If you would like to donate any textbooks for future cadets, please let us know.
  • We will send out a list by name to ensure we comply with current social distancing policies
  • All lockers will be open to make the process quick. Please send a box with your son for his belongings.
  • 5/12: Juniors
  • 5/13: Sophomores
  • 5/14: Freshmen

5/13 Senior Honors Day
