BC announces $1 million gift from alumnus to the Capital Campaign

Benedictine alumnus Patrick White, BC Class of 1982, has made a $1 million commitment to the Forward, Always Forward Capital Campaign. The gift will allow the school to renovate and upgrade the last remaining classrooms in the Academic Building.

“This transformative gift will dramatically impact our academic programs and offerings for our Cadets for decades to come,” Benedictine Military School Headmaster Father Frank Ziemkiewicz, O.S.B., said. “Mr. White’s generosity is a game changer. It will make all of our academic classrooms consistent with the improvements we have made on campus to include the Brown STEM Wing, Brent Hall, and St. Benedict Hall. It will fulfill the vision of upgrading the academic facilities at Benedictine.

“Mr. White has made this gift to honor his father John Patrick White, Jr.,” Ziemkiewicz continued. “He was a member of the BC Class of 1940 and a long-time Savannah businessman who served our country in World War II with the 99th Infantry Division at the Battle of the Bulge. Now, his legacy will live on at Benedictine. We cannot express our gratitude enough for one of our grads who is providing the opportunity of a Benedictine education to the next generation.”

The Forward, Always Forward Capital Campaign has surpassed $15.9 million; exceeding the original goal of $12 million. Mr. White has made the fifth $1 million commitment in the history of Benedictine Military School, all which have come through the vision of this campaign. The school will now address the final project of the campaign - the front entrance of the school and parking lot, which will bolster our campus security and will significantly increase our parking capacity. https://www.thebc400.com/support-bc/capital-campaign
