CADETS Continue to Find Ways to WIN

Congratulations to our Benedictine Cadets Track & Field team who finished #1 at the SCD Meet #4 with a total of 161 points scored! Chapman Schivera & Amari Addison have continued to excel and improve in the Hurdles each week! Both athletes finished 1st and 2nd in each of the hurdle events! Chapman was 1st in the 100mH (15.95 PR) and in the 300mH (41.19 PR). Amari finished 2nd in the 100mH (16.12 PR) and in the 300mH (43.01 PR). John Dodson was 1st in the 3200m (10:24.58) and set a personal record in the 1600m (4:47.19 PR). The 4x800m Relay team of James Moore, Cooper Chu, John Dodson, and Michael Sweeney ran a season best time and finished 1st (9:30.33) overall. Na’Seir Samuel finished 1st in the 200m with a personal best (22.14 PR) and finished 4th in the 400m (53.75). Evan Scarbrough finished 2nd in the Discus (130-11). The 100m event featured RaSean Matthews (11.20 PR), Bryce Baker (11.39 PR), and Houston Jackson (11.49) who finished 3rd, 4th, and 5th respectively.  In his first meet of the season, Christiaan Neely finished 3rd in the Long Jump (19-04) and the Triple Jump (38-7.50). Antonio Hansen-Mann finished 4th in the Triple Jump (37-06). Thomas Blackshear (5-10), Christiaan Neely (5-08) and LaDon Bryant (5-08) jumped to 2nd, 3rd & 4th place standings in the High Jump event. The 4x200m A Relay team of RaSean Matthews, Jakobe Gadsden, Thomas Blackshear and Na’Seir Samuel finished 1st (1:32.00 PR) and the 4x200m B Relay team of Houston Jackson, Bo Tallevast, Keiran Glover, and Zachary Maxwell finished 2nd (1:36.82). The 4x100m Relay A team of RaSean Matthews, Jakobe Gadsden, Bryce Baker, and Na’Seir Samuel finished 3rd (43.76) and the 4x100m B Team of Houston Jackson,  Keiran Glover, Bo Tallevast, and Thomas Blackshear finished 4th (46.13).  The 4x400m A Relay team of Josh Paige, Bo Tallevast, Christiaan Neely, and Hunter Dunn finished 3rd overall with a season best (3:45.28). The 4x400m B Relay team of Kaden Johnson, Amari Addison, Lamont Mitchell, and Makhi Hampton finished 4th overall (3:59.33).  We are excited about winning the meet, however, our preparation and improvement from now until the end of the season is critical to the continued success of this team!
