CADETS Place 3rd at SOHAM Invitational

Congratulations to our Benedictine Cadets Track & Field team who finished 3rd out of 11 teams at the South Effingham Invitational! John Dodson finished 1st and set a new Benedictine Military School record in Milesplit besting Sam Geha’s 10:12.57 with a time of 10:12.52 PR in the 3200m! Jakobe Gadsden finished 1st overall with the best jump of his career (21-4 PR) in the Long Jump! Na’Seir Samuel finished 1st in the 200m (22.26) and 2nd in the 100m (11.02).  LaDon Bryant jumped to a 3rd place tie in the High Jump (5-08). Chapman Schivera placed 3rd in the 100mH (16.39). Chapman Schivera and Amari Addison finished 2nd (42.06) and 4th (43.39) respectively in the 300mH. The 4x800m Relay team of John Dodson, Michael Sweeney, Kadin Dibkey, and Cooper Chu finished 5th overall (9:23.27). Evan Scarbrough finished 6th in the Discus (122-5). The 4x200m Relay team of Houston Jackson, Keiran Glover, Lamont Mitchell, and Bo Tallevast finished 7th (1:40.71). The 4x400m Relay team of Kaden Johnson, James Moore, Bo Tallevast, and Na’Seir Samuel finished 7th overall (3:47.90). This was a tough, gritty performance by our team competing in consecutive meets on Thursday, April 7th and Friday, April 8th! We will compete next Thursday, April 14th in the Savannah Private School Track & Field Championships at Savannah County Day School at 3 PM! Go CADETS!
