CADETS Win the Savannah Private Schools T&F Championship

Congratulations to our Benedictine Cadets Track & Field team who won the Savannah Private Schools Track and Field Championships held at Savannah Country Day School with a total of 157 points scored (85 more points than the next opponent)! Christiaan Neely jumped to a 1^st place finish in the Triple Jump (40-04.50) and Josh Paige was immediately behind him in 2^nd place (38-1.50). Evan Scarbrough won the Discus (130-05). Jakobe Gadsden won the Long Jump (21-01.50) while Christiaan Neely finished 3^rd (19-07.50).  Na’Seir Samuel sprinted to 1^st place in the 200m (22.03 PR) and RaSean Matthews finished 4^th (23.26). John Dodson was 1^st in the 3200m (11:18.78). Na’Seir Samuel finished 2^nd in the 100m (10.69) and Thomas Blackshear finished 4^th (11.07 PR). John Dodson placed 2^nd in the 1600m (4:48.13) and Haddon Watson finished 4^th (5:25.27) in his first meet of the season. Chapman Schivera, Amari Addison, and Austin Wiggins finished 1^st (16.00), 2^nd (17.00) and 4^th (19.71) respectively in the 100mH. Schivera, Addison, and Wiggins also finished 1^st (41.58), 2^nd (42.52 PR), and 4^th (48.17) in the 300mH. ). John Dodson and Michael Sweeney finished 1^st  (2:10.31) and 4^th (2:20.53 PR) respectively in the 800m. Cole Semien, Jeremiah Thomas, and Evan Scarbrough finished 2^nd (39-10.75), 3^rd (38-05.00), and 4^th (37-10.00) in the Shotput. Thomas Blackshear tied for 3^rd (5-10) in the High Jump. Kaden Johnson finished 3^rd in the 400m (54.49 PR) and Bo Tallevast finished 4^th (54.57 PR). The 4x100m Relay team of RaSean Matthews, Thomas Blackshear, Bryce Baker, and Na’Seir Samuel finished 1^st (43.80). The 4x800m Relay team of John Dodson, Aidan Sasser, Michael Sweeney, and Cooper Chu finished 1^st (9:33.84). The 4x400m Relay team of Bo Tallevast, Kaden Johnson, Davis Whiddon, and Na’Seir Samuel finished 1^st (3:47.82) overall. The 4x200m Relay team of Houston Jackson, Keiran Glover, RaSean Matthews, and Josh Paige finished 2^nd (1:34.19). We are extremely proud of the dominant performance displayed by this team! We will compete in the Region 3-AAAA Championships on Tuesday, April 26^th and Wednesday, April 27^th at Islands Stadium! Go CADETS!
