  • BC Rifle Unable to Knock Off #1 Seeded Ridgeland HS in GHSA Sectionals

    The Benedictine Military School Rifle Team ended its season on Friday with a GHSA Sectional loss to #1 seeded Ridgeland HS, 1124-1096.  The Cadets were led by Team Captain Henry Ollenburg with a 285.  Other qualifying shooters for BC were James Thompson (277), Aidan Rachael (275), and Fischer Landon (259).  As the only senior on the team, we congratulate Henry Ollenburg on an outstanding four-year varsity career with BC Rifle!  Your leadership helped our young team achieve tremendous growth and development throughout the season and we should be poised for even greater success next year.  Go Cadets!

  • BC Rifle Comes Up Short Against Top Seeded Camden County HS

    The Benedictine Military School Rifle Team ended their regular season with a home loss to top seeded Camden County HS, 1153-1084.  Qualifying shooters for BC were Henry Ollenburg (278), Aidan Rachael (277), James Thompson (270), and Connor Quintard (259).  Following the match, the Cadets recognized Team Captain and 4-year letter winner Henry Ollenburg for competing in his final home match.  Congratulations on an outstanding rifle career at BC!  The Cadets finished the regular season with a 6-5 record overall and hope to qualify for the post-season as the 6th seed for Area 3.  Stay tuned for more information on the GHSA Sectional playoffs.

  • BC Rifle Secures Narrow Win Over Statesboro High School

    The Benedictine Military School Rifle Team improved to 6-4 on the season with a narrow victory over visiting Statesboro High School, 1102-1099.  Despite Statesboro shooting their highest score of the season, the Cadets held them off to secure the win.  Freshman Fischer Landon made the difference by shooting his personal best score of 267 and qualifying as BC’s fourth shooter.  Henry Ollenburg led the Cadets with a score of 281, and James Thompson (278) and Aidan Rachael (276) rounded out the BC qualifiers.  Freshman Connor Quintard also improved his personal best score to 261.  The Cadets will close out their regular season next Thursday, 9 March, when they host Camden County High School at 4pm.

  • BC Rifle Returns to Winning Ways Against Windsor Forest

    The Benedictine Military School Rifle Team improved to 5-4 on the season with a solid win over visiting Windsor Forest High School, 1102 – 1000.  Henry Ollenburg led the Cadets with an overall score of 286 and Aidan Rachael followed with a 280, shooting a perfect 100 in the prone position.  Other qualifying shooters for BC were James Thompson (270) and Connor Winburn (266).   The Cadets next match will be hosting Statesboro High School next Tuesday, 1 March, at 4pm.

  • BC Rifle Drops Close Match to St. Vincent's Academy

    The Benedictine Military School Rifle Team dropped to 4-4 on the season with a tough loss at St. Vincent’s Academy on Wednesday, 1105 – 1093.  Qualifying shooters for BC were led by senior team captain Henry Ollenburg (279) along with James Thompson (277), Aidan Rachael (277), and Fischer Landon (260).  Freshman Connor Quintard also improved his personal best score to 250.  The Cadets will take on Windsor Forest High School at home next Thursday, 24 February, at 4pm.

  • Best Rifle Score in 4 Seasons is not Enough to Overcome Glynn Academy

    Despite shooting their highest team score in the past 4 seasons, the Benedictine Military School Rifle Team lost a close match at Glynn Academy on Tuesday, 1117 – 1110.  The loss puts the Cadets overall record at 4-3 on the season.  Three of BC’s seven shooters had personal best scores.  Henry Ollenburg (286) led the way for the Cadets with Aidan Rachael (281, PR), James Thompson (277), and Law Babbitt (266, PR) rounding out the qualifying scorers.  Freshman Connor Quintard continued to show great improvement with his personal best score of 245.  The Cadets will travel to St. Vincent’s Academy on Wednesday at 5pm for their next match.

    The Benedictine Military School Rifle Team improved to 4-2 on the season with an impressive road win over Bradwell Institute, 1104-923.  The Cadets were led by junior James Thompson with an outstanding score of 287.  Other qualifying shooters for BC included Henry Ollenburg (282), Aidan Rachael (277), and Fischer Landon (258).  The Cadets will travel to Glynn Academy in Brunswick for their next match on Tuesday, 15 Feb.

  • BC Rifle Improves to 3-2 with Strong Win Over Brunswick HS

    The Benedictine Military School Rifle Team improved to 3-2 on the season with a strong win over visiting Brunswick HS, 1075-948.  The Cadets were led by junior James Thompson who shot a 281.  Other qualifying shooters for BC were Aidan Rachael (275), Henry Ollenburg (273), and Connor Winburn (246).  Congratulations go out to freshmen Connor Quintard, who shot his personal best score of 236 as he continues to make great progress on the team.  The Cadets will travel to Bradwell Institute in Hinesville for their next match on Thursday, 10 February.

    Benedictine Military School Rifle Team improved their record to 2-2 with a convincing win over Beach High School, 1097 - 878.  Henry Ollenburg led the Cadets with a score of 282.  The other qualifying shooters from BC were James Thompson (279), Aidan Rachael (275), and Connor Winburn (261).  The Cadets will next face Brunswick High School at home on Thursday, 3 February, at 4pm.

  • Best Performance of the Season Results In Tough Home Loss for BC Rifle

    Despite shooting their best match of the season, the Benedictine Military School Rifle Team lost a tough home match to SE Bulloch HS, 1122 – 1109, and dropped to 1-2 on the season.  Leading the Cadets were Team Captain Henry Ollenburg and junior James Thompson with a score of 286.  This was a personal best score for Thompson.  Sophomore Aidan Rachel (277) and Freshmen Fischer Landon (260) rounded out the top 4 qualifiers for BC.  Landon also shot his personal best score and earned a varsity letter as qualifying shooter.  The Cadets will travel to Beach High School on Thursday, 27 January, at 4pm for their next match.
