Application Process

For admission into any grade level, an applicant must demonstrate the ability to successfully complete a college-preparatory curriculum as well as the ability to adhere to Benedictine Military School's code of conduct. To ensure that an applicant is suited for the Benedictine experience and a college-preparatory curriculum, the admissions committee will take multiple factors into account, focusing on the students combability with the Benedictine Community and a sincere desire to be a Cadet.

  • Class of 2025

    For admission into the ninth grade, an applicant must successfully complete the eighth grade and receive promotion to the ninth grade from an accredited school. All supporting documents should be submitted as soon as possible once the application has been submitted. Applicants after the January 15, 2021 priority deadline will be offered acceptance based on availability.
  • Transfer Students

    Benedictine welcomes inquiries from qualified students interested in transferring after the start of freshmen year. All of the supporting documents should be summitted as soon as possible once the online application has been submitted. The primary consideration for transfer admission is overall school enrollment, the prospective student's academic ability as measured by standardized test scores and the candidate's current high school academic record, both supporting a record of achievement in a college-preparatory high school curriculum.

How to Apply

1.  Submit your application on myBC.  
2.  Request the following documents as they become available on myBC:
  • Copies of grades from middle school (previous two years for transfer students)
  • Copy of your son's immunization records
  • Copy of birth certificate
  • Copy of social security card
  • Four (4) letters of recommendation. Letters of recommendation are requested electronically through myBC once you complete the application. We ask for letters to come from current teachers or counselors who can speak to the applicant's character and potential success at BC. 
3.  Take the High School Placement Test (incoming freshmen and select transfer students)

Your application will be complete when we have your application and all documents. 

Acceptance Letters

Acceptance letters will be posted on myBC as follows:
  • For incoming freshmen who apply by the January 15th priority deadline, acceptance letters are posted for students who are accepted in March.
  • For incoming freshmen who apply after the January 15th priority deadline, acceptance letters are posted as students are accepted on a rolling basis. 
  • For transfer students, acceptance letters will be posted as students are accepted on a rolling basis. 

Admissions Policy

Benedictine Military School admits students on the basis of school records, academic testing, interviews and teacher recommendations. The school provides students admission to all rights, privileges, programs and activities generally made available to students at Benedictine without regard to race, color, creed and national origin.

Benedictine is committed to having a drug-free environment. In order to safeguard and ensure the health and well-being of our faculty and students, the school conducts random drug testing throughout the year.
