JROTC Program Overview

JROTC is mandatory for freshmen and sophomores at Benedictine. Emphasis during these years is on learning how to follow. The junior and senior years are voluntary and emphasis is placed on how to lead. Cadets receive academic credit for each successfully completed year. BC’s program provides Cadets with necessary uniforms and books. Benedictine’s JROTC program focus is reflected in its mission statement, "To motivate young people to be better citizens." That is why our JROTC program is designed to teach Benedictine students the value of citizenship, leadership, service to the community, personal responsibility, and a sense of accomplishment, while instilling in them self-esteem, teamwork and self-discipline.
