  • Basketball #1 Region 1AAAA

    The Cadets are having an impressive basketball season, finishing with a strong 19-4 record and securing first place in Region 1AAAA! The Region Tournament will be held at Warner Robins High School. Their first game on Monday at 8:30 PM will be crucial. It should be a thrilling game between the Savannah schools Benedictine and New Hampstead. 
    With the Region Championship scheduled for Wednesday at 8:30 PM, it’s all about staying focused and continuing their momentum.  The Cadets will head into the GHSA State Tournament on February 19, with the ultimate goal of claiming the State Championship on March 6 at 7:30 PM at the Macon Centreplex.

    Benedictine Military School celebrated seniors John Dodson (Reinhardt University cross country and track & field), Connor Ferguson (University of Georgia football), and Paul Thompson (University of Charleston West Virginia Football) who are taking their academic and athletic careers to the next level!   • John Lilly recognized by the Savannah Quarterback Club

    Congratulations to Benedictine Military School senior John Lilly, who was presented with a $15,000 postgraduate scholarship by the Savannah Quarterback Club!  Mr. Mark Mamalakis and Mr. Nino Aliotta ’83 visited BC to reveal to John and his classmates that he was receiving this distinguished honor.  Each year, the Savannah Quarterback Club recognizes a senior not just for his athletic ability, but also leadership, academic excellence, and community involvement—all traits that John embodies. John plans to attend UGA.  Thank you to the Savannah Quarterback Club for supporting local students in such a meaningful way!
     
     
     
  • Wrestlers headed to GHSA Class AAAA State Championships

    Five Benedictine Military School Cadets qualified for the GHSA Class AAAA State Wrestling Championships! Here are BC’s results from sectionals at Harris County High School. The top eight in each weight class qualified for the State Championships on February 13 and 14 at the Macon Centreplex. Go Cadets!

  • Fall Scholar Athletes

    Congratulations to the Fall scholar athletes! These students have worked incredibly hard both on the field and in the classroom, maintaining a GPA of 90 or higher throughout the season.   • Dreams do come true

    Benedictine's Connor Ferguson announced Monday that he has committed to the University of Georgia as a preferred walk on. Ferguson is ranked No. 7 in the nation in the Kohl's Kicking rankings and is No. 1 in Georgia.
    "I've been a Georgia fan since I was in kindergarten, and when I got to visit there and just loved the atmosphere, the school and the facilities — I mean, what's not to love. I developed a really strong relationship with the coaches there and that meant a lot. You could say this is a dream come true for me."
    Ferguson said he thinks he'll have a chance to compete for the kickoff job right away, and he hopes to earn a full scholarship as he continues to develop as a Bulldog. An 'A' student, Ferguson said he plans to major in aerospace or aeronautical engineering with a path toward aviation.

  • Jones Hits 2000

    Caleb Jones is truly an exceptional player; his 2000-point achievement is a testament to his talent and dedication. His ability to thrive under pressure, even when facing double or triple teams, reflects his high basketball IQ and maturity on the court. His versatility and adaptability allow him to adjust his play to counter different defenses, a skill that distinguishes the greats from the good.
    It's also inspiring to see Caleb prioritize his team over individual success. That mindset strengthens his leadership role and elevates the performance of those around him, making him a well-rounded and impactful player both on and off the court.
     
  • Swim team Region 1AAAA Runner-up

    Congratulations to Benedictine Military School’s swimming team on their outstanding second-place finish at the region meet in Warner Robins! Team captain Ethan Dibkey shined with impressive first-place finishes in the 200 Individual Medley and 100 Breaststroke. The relay teams also performed exceptionally well, with the 200 Medley Relay team of Meyer Hagin, Ethan Dibkey, Robert Federal, and Byron Pederson securing second place, and the 200m Freestyle Relay team of Hobie Leonard, Ethan Dibkey, Meyer Hagin, and Byron Pederson also placing second. Well done to all the swimmers for their dedication and teamwork in bringing home the second-place region trophy!
  • Rifle team 2-1

    Benedictine Military School's rifle team faced a tough loss on Friday, losing to Ware County 1146-1081, in their first defeat of the season. Ware County, known for being one of the top teams in the state, provided a challenging match, and its range is also the location for the GHSA State Tournament. Despite the loss, the BC team showed improvement, with their previous victories over Southeast Bulloch (1043-1028) and Savannah High (1063-563).
    The team's qualifying shooters were Fischer Landon (272), Cooper Winters (270), Logan Price (270), and Matthew Taylor (269), demonstrating strong performances. Benedictine is scheduled to host Glynn Academy on January 21, looking to bounce back from their first loss.
  • Exciting basketball season for the Cadets

    The Cadets are off to an impressive start in Region 1-AAAA play with victories over Wayne County, Perry, and New Hampstead. BC's 62-47 victory over New Hampstead extended its home winning streak to 12 games, a run dating to last season, and improved its overall record to 14-3. This consistency on offense has been pivotal, with the team averaging 66.6 points per game during the streak. Senior Caleb Jones has been exceptional, averaging 31.9 points per game and tallying 533 points so far this season. His career total of 1996 points underscores his remarkable talent and sustained performance over the years.
    The Cadets' blend of speed, athleticism, and solid team chemistry makes them a formidable force on the court. The Cadets will travel to Wayne County on Saturday; JV 2 p.m./Varsity 3:30 p.m.

Benedictine has captured one team national championship and 21 team state championships overall in eight different sports, including 17 state championships since 2012. (This number does not include the numerous individual state championships.)

Benedictine has been recognized as the No. 1 boys’ athletic program in southeast Georgia.

In recent years, many Benedictine student-athletes have earned scholarships to compete at institutions such as the University of Georgia, Georgia Institute of Technology, the University of Southern Mississippi, U.S. Coast Guard Academy, U.S. Military Academy at West Point, U.S. Naval Academy, Belmont Abbey, Mercer University, The Citadel, Georgia Southern University, Appalachian State University, College of the Holy Cross, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, Tulane University, North Carolina State University, Duke University, Clemson University, Vanderbilt University, Auburn University, Massachusetts Maritime Academy, University of Minnesota, Florida State University, and University of North Carolina.
