Financial Aid

A Benedictine Military School education is a priceless investment in your son's future. Each year, Benedictine awards need-based financial aid. However, the requests for financial aid exceeds the funding available, therefore Benedictine has established policies and procedures for distributing need-based aid to ensure consistency for fairness.

Financial Aid Notification

For freshman families submitting a completed aid application that demonstrates financial need, aid notification letters will be mailed and included with your acceptance letter. Please make sure your aid application is completed by January 15, 2019.

For returning families submitting a completed application that demonstrates financial need, aid notification letters will be mailed by May 1, 2019.

ALL FINANCIAL AID AWARDS are preliminary until your 2018 Federal Tax Return has been submitted and reviewed. 2018 Federal Tax Returns must be submitted by April 30, 2019.

Applying for Financial Aid

  • Complete the Smart Aid Application online by January 15, 2019.
  • NOTE: Please use a PC when applying for aid through SMART. Apple's operating system will not work at this time to set up your account.
  • Visit www.smartaidforparents.com to complete the online application (Benedictine's school code 11789).
  • Copies of your 2017 tax return MUST be uploaded to your to Smart Aid Application along with your current 2019 pay stubs, and 2018 W2s/1099s.
  • All pages of your 2017 Federal Tax return must be uploaded to your Smart Aid application as one document.
  • If parents are divorced, separated or not married, then each parent must submit an application.
  • Applications received after the January 15, 2019 deadline will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are depleted.
  • Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
