A Benedictine Military School education is a priceless investment in your son’s future. Each year, Benedictine awards needs-based financial aid. However, the requests for financial aid exceed the funding available, therefore Benedictine has established policies and procedures for distributing needs-based aid to ensure consistency and fairness.
Purpose of Financial Aid
- To permit the development of a richly diverse student population by making Benedictine accessible to students from varying economic backgrounds.
- To allow for the continued enrollment of students whose families have experienced economic reversals arising from such events as death in the family, sudden medical issues or unemployment.
Benedictine Scholars Program
Incoming Freshmen who perform exceptionally well on the Benedictine Admissions Test are eligible to receive a Benedictine Scholar award. Applicants whose composite scores are at the 99th national percentile will receive a $1,000 scholarship. Applicants whose scores are between the 98th and 95th national percentiles will receive a $500 scholarship.
Expenses not covered by Financial Aid
Financial Aid does not cover the reservation fee, costs of books and uniforms, nor extraordinary school trips and other miscellaneous fees.
Applying for Financial Aid
Benedictine Military School appoints an anonymous Financial Aid Committee to evaluate each family’s application and determine the amount of the award. This confidential process takes into account each family’s financial situation. Admissions decisions are made independent of a family’s ability to pay the full cost of education. Returning families must re-apply for financial aid every year that their son attends Benedictine.
