Golf Finishes Third in State

GHSA Class AAAA State TournamentDollander opened with a birdie and then dialed in a 6-iron from 210 yards on the second hole to three-feet for an eagle. He made the turn in 33, but a pair of doubles on the back nine stopped him for posting the stellar round he was looking for.
"The score was better today, but obviously we didn't accomplish what we wanted to do," Dollander said. "There are positives and negatives, but this is the end of the season. We give God the glory no matter the outcome. We came in expected to win and there's always going to be added pressure there. We were prepping two weeks in advance and thinking 'We have to win state.' I think that showed in the first day, everybody was rattled and playing nervous.
