BC 1st of 12 Teams

The Benedictine Cadets Track & Field team scored 121 points to finish 1^st overall in the team standings at the 22^nd Annual Derrick Plankenhorn Meet! Eron Mallard exceeded the school record that he set last week with a leap of 44-0 and a 3^rd place finish in the Triple Jump event! The BC 4x100m Relay Team of Eron Mallard, Cole Henderson, Jack Ganem, and Stanley Smart, Jr. finished 1^st overall (42.26)!  The BC 4x200m Relay Team of Jack Ganem, Cole Henderson, Josh Washington, and Caeylin “CJ” Menzie finished 1^st overall (1:31.10 SB)!  Stanley Smart, Jr. and Eron Mallard finished 1^st (10.95 SB) and 3^rd (11.18) in the 100m.  Tucker Hollis finished 2^nd (10:36.78 PR) in the 3200m.  Meyer Hagin placed 2^nd (138-10 PR) and Max Carson placed 5^th (123-2) in the Discus event.  Michael Hogan finished 2^nd (52.24 PR) in the 400m.  Max Carson finished 2^nd (46-4 PR) in the Shotput.  Stanley Smart, Jr. and Cole Henderson finished 2^nd (22.59) and 3^rd (22.61 PR) respectfully in the 200m. Will Hoffman placed 3^rd (4:55.81) in the 1600m.  Isaiah Jones finished 4^th (19-6.50) in the Long Jump.  Eron Mallard and Ca’ron Hall finished 5^th (5-8) and 6^th (5-8) in the High Jump.  Tucker Hollis finished 7^th (2:08.89 PR) in the 800m.  The BC 4x400m Relay Team of Jack Ganem, Ca’ron Hall, Sammy “Tre” Childs III, and Michael Hogan finished 5^th (3:45.65).  Other noteworthy performances: Ian Harris finished 9^th (39-1 PR) in the Triple Jump.  Isaiah Jones and Tristan Robertson finished 9^th (44.11 PR) and 10^th (44.37 PR) in the 300mH.  Congratulations to our team for a gritty performance!  The CADETS next meet will be the SCD Meet #6 held this Wednesday, April 9^th 3:30 PM at Savannah Country Day School!
