Benedictine Track Athletes Ready for Region
The Benedictine Cadets Track & Field team scored 137 points to finish 2nd overall in the team standings at the SCD Meet #6! The BC 4x100m Relay Team of Jack Ganem, Stanley Smart, Jr., Stephen Cannon II, and Chris “Bubba” Frazier Jr. finished 2nd (41.66 SR) overall and set a new Benedictine Military School record (current 13th fastest time in all GHSA classifications)! Ca’ron Hall tied a Benedictine Military School record set by Henry Sink ’24 with a 2nd place (6-2 PR) finish in the High Jump. Meyer Hagin and Max Carson placed 1st (141-10 PR) and 2nd (137-7 PR) in the Discus event. The BC 4x800m Relay Team of Will Hoffman, Tucker Hollis, Wyatt Nolen, and Cole Minnich finished 1st (8:48.91). Eron Mallard had a 1st place (42-6) finish in the Triple Jump. Cole Minnich, Will Hoffman, and Tucker Hollis finished 1st (4:38.19), 5th (4:51.92), and 6th (4:52.32) respectfully in the 1600m. Max Carson and Ralph Scroggins placed 4th (45-2) and 7th (41-1) in the Shotput. Eron Mallard and Isaiah Jones jumped to 4th (5-10) and 5th (5-10 PR) place finishes in the High Jump. Stephen Cannon II, Stanley Smart, Jr., and Cole Henderson finished 3rd (11.02 PR), 4th (11.05) and 6th (11.17 PR) respectfully in the 100m. Eron Mallard and Jack Ganem sprinted to 3rd (22.51) and 7th (23.46) place finishes in the 200m. Michael Hogan and Chris “Bubba” Frazier, Jr. finished 4th (51.73 PR) and 6th (52.43 PR) in the 400m. Tristan Robertson finished 6th (43.62 PR) in the 300mH. Ryan Brunson finished 7th (19.56) in the 100mH. Cole Minnich and Tucker Hollis finished 3rd (2:01.96 PR) and 8th (2:14.44) in the 800m. The BC 4x400m Relay Team of Sammy “Tre” Childs III, Stephen Cannon II, Gage Copeland, and Michael Hogan finished 2nd (3:36.18 5B). Congratulations to our team for their performance! The CADETS next meet will be the GHSA Region 1 AAAA Region Track & Field Championships held Tuesday, April 22nd , 10:00 AM and Thursday, April 24th 12 PM at McConnell-Talbert Stadium!
