Strong Showing for the Cadets
The Benedictine Cadets Track & Field team score 95.50 points to finish 1st overall in the team standings at the SCD Meet #5! The Cadets broke two Benedictine Military School records on the day! Cole Minnich finished 2nd (9:47.45 SR) and broke the current school record set by teammate, John Dodson in the 3200m! Eron Mallard finished 2nd (43-2.50 SR) and leaped to a school record previously set by Travis Blackshear ’18! The BC 4x100m Relay Team of Eron Mallard, Stanley Smart, Jr., Stephen Cannon II, and Chris “Bubba” Frazier Jr. finished 1st (41.87 SB) overall and currently have the fastest time in the GHSA 4A classification (7th fastest time in all GHSA classifications)! Meyer Hagin placed 2nd (130-3 PR) in the Discus event. Max Carson, Caeylin “CJ” Menzie, and Ralph Scroggins placed 2nd (45-11 PR), 6th (39-6 PR), and 7th (39-2.50) respectfully in the Shotput. Ca’Ron Hall and Eron Mallard competed to 2nd (6-0 PR) and 3rd (6-0 PR) place finishes in the High Jump. Will Hoffman and Tucker Hollis finished 3rd (4:47.58 PR) and 4th (4:48.250 PR) in the 1600m. Chris “Bubba” Frazier Jr., Stanley Smart, Jr., and Stephen Cannon II finished 1st (10.80 SB), 4th (11.21) and 5th (11.24) respectfully in the 100m. Chris “Bubba” Frazier Jr. and Stanley Smart, Jr. sprinted to 1st (22.27) and 3rd (22.43) place finishes in the 200m. Eron Mallard, Isaiah Jones, and Josh Washington finished 2nd (20-6 PR), 4th (20-0), and 7th (18-6) respectfully in the Long Jump. Michael Hogan and Josh Washington finished 2nd (52.77) and 7th (54.03 PR) in the 400m. Tristan Robertson and Isaiah Jones finished 4th (45.53 PR) and 7th (47.29) in the 300mH. Ca’Ron Hall and Ryan Brunson finished 6th (18.77 PR) and 8th (18.87) in the 100mH. Tucker Hollis finished 8th (2:11.29 PR) in the 800m. The BC 4x400m Relay Team of Jack Ganem, Stephen Cannon II, Cole Henderson, and Michael Hogan finished 2nd (3:36.94 5B). Congratulations to our team for an amazing performance! The CADETS next meet will be the 22nd Annual Derrick Plankenhorn Invitational held next Friday, April 4th, 4:00 PM at Southeast Bulloch High School!
