The Region Champions!! Sectionals Next

The 2025 Benedictine Track & Field team won the Region 1-AAAA Championships completed on Thursday, April 24th at McConnell-Talbert Stadium by scoring a total of 194 points! The CADETS had 8 event Region Champions overall and set 4 new school records!  Please congratulate Cole Minnich (1600m – 4:29.66 PR, 3200m – 10:27.22); Max Carson (Discus – 149-08 PR/SR); Eron Mallard (Triple Jump – 44–0.50 PR/SR); Chris “Bubba” Frazier, Jr. (100m – 10.79, 200m – 22.23); Cole Henderson, Stanley Smart, Jr., Stephen Cannon II and Chris “Bubba” Frazier, Jr. (4x200m Relay – 1:27.92 SB) & Jack Ganem, Stanley Smart, Jr., Stephen Cannon II, and Chris “Bubba” Frazier, Jr. (4x100m Relay – 42.67) on being crowned Region Champions! Cole Minnich was also named the Boys Overall – High Point Champion (28 points)!  Caeylin “CJ” Menzie finished 8^th (39–0.75 PR) in the Triple Jump.  Eron Mallard, Ca’ron Hall, and Gage Copeland placed 6^th (5–8), 7^th (5–8), and 8^th (5–8 PR) respectfully in the High Jump.  Max Carson and Ralph Scroggins placed 2^nd (48-4 PR/SR) and 6^th (42-7 PR) in the Shotput.  Meyer Hagin threw for 3^rd place (143-08 PR) standings in the Discus.  The BC 4x800m Relay Team of John Dodson, Will Hoffman, Tucker Hollis and Cole Minnich placed 2^nd (8:36.08 PR/SR).  Tucker Hollis and Will Hoffman placed 3^rd (4:45.67 PR) and 5^th (4:47.44 PR) in the 1600m.  Cole Minnich and Tucker Hollis finished 3^rd (2:05.93) and 4^th (2:13.45) in the 800m.  Eron Mallard and Stanley Smart, Jr. placed 3^rd (10.96) and 4^th (10.98) in the 100m.  Will Hoffman and Tucker Hollis placed 2^nd (10:44.75 PR) and 4^th (10:53.53) in the 3200m.  Stephen Cannon II and Michael Hogan finished 2^nd (50.16 PR) and 6^th (51.76) in the 400m.  Tristan Robertson finished 5^th (43.64 PR) in the 300mH.  Stanley Smart, Jr. and Cole Henderson finished 2^nd (22.37) and 3^rd (22.65) in the 200m.  The BC 4x400m Relay Team of Cole Henderson, Stephen Cannon II, Josh Washington, and Michael Hogan placed 2^nd (3:28.92 SB).  Congratulations to our team for an outstanding performance!  The CADETS are advancing 18 student-athletes to compete at Steele Road Stadium (4930 Steele Road, Ellenwood, GA 30294) for the 2025 GHSA AAAA Track & Field Sectionals to be held next Saturday, May 3^rd.  We will have representation in 13 of the 18 total events.
