  • BC Loses a Nail Biter to Glynn Academy

    The Benedictine Military School Rifle Team dropped to 2-2 on the season with a heartbreaking loss to visiting Glynn Academy, 1068-1067.  Qualifying shooters for the Cadets were team captain Fischer Landon (283), Cooper Winters (274), Logan Price (256), and Matthew Taylor (254).  Although not a qualifying score, junior Brady Duclos shot a 233 – continuing to make significant improvements in each position.  The Cadets will host Bradwell Institute on Tuesday, 28 January, at 4:30pm for their next match.
  • BC Rifle Loses to Powerhouse Ware Co.

    The Benedictine Military School Rifle Team (2-1) dropped their first match of the season at Ware County last night, 1146-1081.  Ware Co is one of the top teams in the state, and their range facility is home to the GHSA State Tournament.  The Cadets shot well overall and showed great improvement in their overall team score.  Qualifying shooters for BC were Fischer Landon (272), Cooper Winters (270), Logan Price (270), and Matthew Taylor (269).  The Cadets will host Glynn Academy on Tuesday, 21 January, for their next match.

    Benedictine Military School's rifle team faced a tough loss on Friday, losing to Ware County 1146-1081, in their first defeat of the season. Ware County, known for being one of the top teams in the state, provided a challenging match, and its range is also the location for the GHSA State Tournament. Despite the loss, the BC team showed improvement, with their previous victories over Southeast Bulloch (1043-1028) and Savannah High (1063-563).
    The team's qualifying shooters were Fischer Landon (272), Cooper Winters (270), Logan Price (270), and Matthew Taylor (269), demonstrating strong performances. Benedictine is scheduled to host Glynn Academy on January 21, looking to bounce back from their first loss.
  • BC Rifle Improves to 2-0

    The Benedictine Military School Rifle Team improved to 2-0 on the season with a close victory over SE Bulloch High School, 1043-1028.  Senior captain Fischer Landon led the Cadets with a 283, while Cooper Winters (274), Logan Price (245) and Matthew Taylor (241) rounded out the qualifying shooters for BC.  The Cadets will travel to Ware County on Friday, 17 January, for their next match.
  • BC Rifle Wins Season Opener

    The Benedictine Military School Rifle Team kicked off it’s 2025 season with a home victory over Savannah High School, 1063 – 563.  Unfortunately, due to illness and other factors, Savannah High School had to forfeit based on only having 3 shooters available for the match.  BC’s effort was led by team captain Fischer Landon (279), with returning sophomore Matthew Taylor (272) and returning junior Cooper Winters (266) placing second and third, respectively.  Newcomer sophomore Logan Price (246), in his first official match, rounded out the qualifying shooters for BC.  Juniors Logan Bayman (240) and Brady Duclos (203) also had good performances in their first official matches.  The team will next host Groves High School on Thursday, 9 January, at 4:30pm.
