  • Cadets Nominated for Coastal Empire Sports Awards

    The Coastal Empire High School Sports Awards Banquet, hosted by The Savannah Morning News and the Georgia Ports, is a prestigious annual event honoring the top high school athletes and coaches across the area. This celebration recognizes first-team selections in the various sports, highlighting the skill, dedication, and achievements of the student-athletes throughout the Coastal Empire.
    This year’s banquet will be on May 27, at 6:00 p.m. at the Johnny Mercer Theatre. The guest speaker is Pro Football Hall of Famer Dwight Freeney. During the event, the highly anticipated Players of the Year will be announced, along with the recipients of the premier honors, which include: Boys' and Girls' Athletes of the Year,  Boys' and Girls' Teams of the Year, Coach of the Year, and the Courage Award recipient. This evening is a tribute to the hard work and excellence of our student-athletes, coaches, and teams.

  • Four Seniors Continue their Athletic Careers

    We proudly celebrated the accomplishments of four outstanding Benedictine Military School seniors as they signed their National Letters of Intent to continue their academic and athletic careers.

  • Winter sports student-athletes recognized by SMN

    The Coastal Empire High School Sports Awards Banquet, hosted by The Savannah Morning News and the Georgia Ports, is a prestigious event that honors top high school student-athletes. This banquet recognizes first-team selections across a variety of sports. Sponsored by Chatham Orthopedic Associates, the event on May 27 at the Johnny Mercer Theatre will announce the choice of the Players of the Year, celebrating the most outstanding athletes of the year in their sports. The banquet serves as an important occasion to acknowledge the students' hard work, dedication, and athletic achievements across the Coastal Empire region. For swimming, senior Ethan Dibkey shared First-team recognition with five other Savannah area swimmers. First-team honors in wrestling were bestowed on Zachary Krauss and AJ West. Connor Desautels was selected for the Second Team. Honorable Mention were Peter Fallon, Aaron Pritzker, and Aiden Simmons. Caleb Jones, basketball extraordinaire, was selected First-team.  Micah Williams was Honorable Mention. Congratulations to these outstanding athletes! Go Cadets!

  • Krauss and West medal at wrestling state championship

    Congratulations to Benedictine Military School senior Zachary Krauss (29-9) - 4th Place 157 lbs - and freshman AJ West (46-10) - 5th place 126 lbs - for earning medals at the GHSA Class AAAA Wrestling State Championship in Macon. Krauss will continue his college career at Belmont Abbey College. Cadets who qualified from the Class AAAA sectional meet were:

  • BC 13th out of 36 Teams

    Benedictine Military School’s wrestling team finished 13th out of 36 teams at the May River Shark Invitational on Dec. 30-31. Senior Zach Krauss led the Cadets with a third-place finish at 157 pounds. Sophomore Aiden Simmons took fifth at 113 pounds and senior Jackson Garber was sixth at 150 pounds.

    The Cadets have had a solid and busy season leading up to some big events! Here's a quick summary of their recent performances and the upcoming schedule:
    May River Shark Invitational: 13th place out of 36 teams
    Yulee Border Battle: 4th place out of 15 teams

  • Senior Night Success

    Benedictine Military School’s wrestling team honored its seniors Tuesday night and sent them off with three victories. Senior wrestlers Connor Desautels, Jackson Garber, Zachary Krauss, and Aaron Pritzker went undefeated in the last home matches of their careers! BC defeated Johnson, 75-6, beat Savannah Country Day 71-11, and finished the night with an exciting 41-36 victory over Long County. BC improved to 20-8
  • BC Third Place Out of 20 Teams

    Benedictine Military School’s wrestling team defeated West Laurens, 37-36, to place third out of 20 teams at the Jeff Davis Yellow Jacket Duals today! BC sophomore Walker Minnich pinned his opponent in the final match to give BC a one-point, come-from-behind victory.
  • Annual Turkey Duals Results

    On Tuesday and Wednesday, Benedictine's wrestling team participated in the annual Turkey Duals hosted by South Effingham High School. The Cadets finished the two-day event 4th of 12 teams.

  • Winter sports commenced

    With the conclusion of many fall sports, the winter sports are in action. The Savannah Morning News selected the top area basketball player to watch. Senior "Player of the Year" Caleb Jones and sophomore Ejay Washington were high on the list! The opening game for the Cadets is at 8 p.m. Nov. 30 against Groves in the Enmarket Arena Tournament. The wrestling team had an outstanding day in its opening home dual match with big wins over Windsor Forest, 71-12, Savannah Christian, 73-6, and Jenkins, 58-24. BC travels to Effingham County High School on Saturday for the Blue Line Duals at 9 a.m.. BC's swim team is practicing getting ready for its competition. It's going to be a great season!
